‘Work with a view’ got a completely new definition after attending this first annual workshop at the Schneefernerhaus on top of the Zugspitze. Organised by Dr. Na Cai, we met at the Schneefernerhaus for a three-day workshop on Disease heterogeneity and disease trajectories.

The workshop started with a talk by Dr. Andrew Schork at Helmholtz Munich prior to leaving for the Zugspitze.

All attendees got the opportunity to share their science and latest findings. Specifically remarkable was the amazing view that we had during these sessions, as they took place in the conference room with panoramic windows.

Excited about my latest findings, I also presented my latest work updates and obtained some good feedback.

There were many fruitful (late-night) discussions ranging from our direct projects to science philosophy.

I am so incredibly thankful to everyone who attended and shared their knowledge. I look forward to many more workshops here, and am excited to join many of the attendees to the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics 2022!
